If there’s a time to indulge in copious amounts of sugar, it’s at Halloween time. We’ll take any excuse we can get. In this blog post, we give you a simple and fun recipe for Halloween Cookies featuring slow-churned Unsalted butter.

Serves: 2 dozen

INGREDIENTS:

½ cup softened Unsalted Banner Butter
1-½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup sugar
1 teaspoon being powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Beat butter and sugar until light and blended in a large bowl. In another bowl whisk baking soda, salt, and flour

2. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture

3. Shape dough into two portions and wrap in parchment or plastic, place in refrigerator for an hour or so, until firm

4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

5. Roll each portion of dough to ¼ in. thickness on a lightly floured surface

6. Flour cookie cutters and cut cookie dough, placing each cookie 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets

7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are light brown

8. Remove cookies and place on wire racks to cool

9. DECORATE!
